Abstract
Gener8, Columbia University and Lockheed Martin will team to develop a high-speed electronically tunable wavelength filter. Columbia University has developed a method of fabricating thin-films of lithium-niobate called Crystal Ion Slicing (CIS). These thin films enable new electro-optical devices to be designed with order-of-magnitude improvements in electro-optical performance. Two design concpets for a new high-speed tunable filter will be evaluated during Phase I project.
