Abstract:
Bennett Aerospace proposes to develop a transparent visor for helmet-mounted display (HMD) applications. The novel visor utilizes the wave-guiding characteristics of light to provide a low mass and a large eye box. BENEFIT: The revolutionary technology provides significant improvements in terms of mass, cost, volume and optical performance. Bennett Aerospace's approach allows for a larger field of vision, offers user-friendly ergonomics, and can be readily integrated within current aviator helmets.
