Abstract:
The overall goal of the Phase I effort is to develop Intermediate Staging Base (ISB) planning capabilities. To achieve this goal, we identified three major objectives. The first objective is to arrange assets on the ISB as to optimize support for ISB customers. We examined the utility of Genetic algorithms towards this purpose and examined several optimization criteria and studied their effects on site layout. The second objective is the development of a demand generation utility that is under development with the support of Cougaar Software Inc. Lastly, the third objective is to provide 3D visualization for ISB planning.
