Abstract:
Accurate Automation Corporation will design, develop, demonstrate, and transition by the end of Phase II a new tool, the Precision Logistics Support System (PLSS), which can assist Marine Corps logistics personnel in rapidly generating and refining a logistics / supply plan that will best meet the needs of any specific deployment. The prototype PLSS will be configured for a LAN-connected PC environment. It will use context information about a planned deployment to optimally create and configure logistics support plans based on ¿learned¿ knowledge from training on previous plans, obtained both from exercises and real engagements. Neural networks will be used to learn relationships between deployment context and characteristics and logistics needs.
