Abstract:
Optically pumped, high power, mid-Infrared semiconductor lasers that operate at cryogenic temperature must be engineered to operate over large ambient temperature and harsh vibration environments to be able to be used in future IRCM systems. The proposed work will demonstrate novel methods of laser packaging that enable operation of a low cost, mid-infrared, semiconductor laser in military temperature and vibration environments.
