Abstract:
Significant cost reductions are needed in the cost of IRCM laser transmitters to improve their affordability and adoption. A COTS based laser electronics module that can be tightly integrated with a low cost mid-infrared laser will be developed andenvironmentally tested in the Phase I effort. In addition, capability for advanced waveform generation will be incorporated into the electronics providing capability for future system upgrades.
