Abstract:
Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) components may be used to reduce the cost of the laser electronics needed for mid-infrared lasers being developed for infrared countermeasures applications. The Phase II project will develop circuit designs for these laser electronics using COTS components and demonstrate these laser electronics can operate in military environments. The laser electronics will be validated by integrating these electronics with a mid-infrared laser system.
