Abstract:
Advance Technologies is proposing a formal software development effort to translate the State Transition Logic algorthims developed under NCHRP Project 3-66. We are proposing the use of free software such as GNAT, Linux and Umbrello to assist us in the software development. Advanced Technologies has been developing real time, safety critical, Ada83/Ada95 software for twenty years. We plan to use UML during the requirements and design phases of development. Both Ada95 and C software packages/modules will be generated from UML object models. The software will be compiled using GNAT and gcc. Unit testing, integration testing, and formal qualifications testing will be performed.
