Abstract:
Agiltron proposes an uncooled two-color MWIR imaging system to meet all the critical attributes necessary to satisfy HFI imaging requirements as well as providing a low cost alternative sensor for all USMC and USN fixed and rotary wing aircraft at risk. Agiltron"s solution is based on our revolutionary photomechanical imaging technology to fabricate uncooled large pixel array MWIR imagers coupled with our innovative IR optics. The focus of the CPP effort will be to increase significantly the thermal sensitivity of the uncooled two-color MWIR imaging system to levels required to detect missile plumes and HFI. The proposed two-color MWIR imaging system can inherently provide scene imagery in total darkness and through rain, snow, fog, smoke, and dust. Therefore, the two-color MWIR imaging system can also be used as an indispensable tool in every helicopter to overcome brown-out or white-out conditions during take-off and landing.
