Abstract:
Develop a fermentation process capable of economically converting agricultural by-products (biomass wastes containing sugars and starches) to a biodegradable, non-corrosive road deicer. The process developed in this work will support energy conservation and sound environmental management policies by enhancing the utilization of byproducts from agricultural operations in the production of a value-added product.
