Title:
Multi-agent Information Fusion and Decision Aid for Future Combat System
Agency / Branch:
DOD / ARMY
Contract:

Award Amount:
$729,988.00
Abstract:
The objective of the Phase II project is to develop a generic multi-agent high-performance real-time decision aid system, in which multi-agent tracking, communication, hybrid system modeling, information fusion and decision aid components can be easily integrated with ARDEC's CDAS (Combat Decision Aid System) for Future Combat System (FCS), Objective Force Warrior, Land Warrior and Homeland Defense applications. Integrated with CDAS, this system allows every soldier to be linked through an intelligent software network interface to multiple autonomous robotic vehicles and planes that provide immediate access to data on communications, reconnaissance, and other agents. An "open systems" architecture will be built with specified interfaces, services and supporting formats to support plug-and-play software and hardware components. A decision-level-fusion-based Object-oriented Bayesian Network will be developed to accommodate complex systems and inference. A wireless communication architecture is proposed to support multi-agent communication and coordination. Using the AGNC developed simulation and test tools the system will be tested in the laboratory and then in the CDAS environment.
