Applied Systems Intelligence proposes to design an intelligent control architecture based on our associate system technology to provide a UAV-equipped medic team the ability to autonomously coordinate activities in a combat environment. In Phase I, ASI will document the specific demands on this type of system, design an architecture that includes associate system software for integrated combat intelligence, and model the command and control knowledge base for operating a UAV medevac system. ASI will develop a set of use cases that capture the role of associate system technology in various stages of the combat evacuation process. Each stage features a different primary team member, but still demonstrates the ability of the integrated intelligence to share relevant information during the evacuation. The five primary elements of the UAV medevac team are: the Field Medic, the UAV Dispatcher, the UAV, the Combat Support Hospital, and the Virtual Nurse in the casualty bay of the UAV. ASI will identify potential teammates for demonstrating the system design in future phases. This effort will easily transition into Phase II where we will integrate this associate system C2 architecture and software to demonstrate the autonomous collaboration capabilities between a representative human medic and surrogate UAV.
