Abstract:
Applied Visions, Inc. (AVI) is pleased to present this proposal for a Phase II follow-on effort to our Phase I work on Topic OSD08-CR4 "Dynamic Modeling of Safe Routes". Our concept is to build an Adaptive Visualization of Safe Optimized Routes (AVIsor). Our efforts leveraged work we are performing for NAVAIR on a similar project which is aimed at fielding the Tactical Target Analysis and Prediction System (TTAPS). TTAPS is a new C2 system that uses computer gaming technology to predict the likely destinations and paths of critical moving target (CMT) vehicles. For this project we are adapting that technology to efficiently generate and visualize safe convoy paths based on multiple regional factors including civilian reaction, local infrastructure, traffic and their effects on the choice of best paths though the road network. In addition to developing and testing a fully featured Phase II Prototype of AVIsor, this proposal also includes plans to develop a game-based trainer for AVIsor. The trainer, which is tentatively named "Gauntlet", will be developed with the assistance of our subcontractor, Sonalysts Inc. which has a long history of developing similar training aids for the Navy
