Abstract

This proposal deals with new techniques for the guidance and control of Boost Phase of the missile defense. A new concept integrating the synergy between guidnace and coontrol is offered as an Integrated Guidance and Control approach; furthermore, a new nonlinear controller-filter called the theta-D technique is offered as the tool to solve the boost phase guidance and control problem for accurate intercept under uncertainty about the target conditions.
