Abstract

The objective of the proposal is to develop and extend to 6DOF missile-target engagement and dynamic models the integrated guidance-control and filtering-target-missile state estimation algorithms to achieve the hit-to-kill accuracy against targetsperforming evasive maneuvers, including spiraling motion. Two potential areas of algorithm development based on robust control and observation techniques, i. e. sliding modes and dynamic neural networks, have been identified. The proposed techniques can beintegrated providing a complete algorithmic package, which can be utilized on both future and current interceptors. Successful conclusion of this process development will provide improved techniques for missile interceptor guidance and subsequent growthfor MST, an employee-owned small business.
