Abstract

BIOTIX PROPOSES TO DEVELOP SEVERAL PIECES OF INSTRUMENTATIONTHAT WILL SPEED THE PROCESS OF DNA SEQUENCING. THE APPROACHIS TO ASSESS THE FEASIBILITY OF AUTOMATING SEVERAL STEPS OF THE SEQUENCING PROCEDURE THAT ARE CURRENTLY ACCOMPLISHED MANUALLY. SPECIFIC PHASE I OBJECTIVES INCLUDE THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROTOTYPES FOR A UNIT THAT WILL AUTOMATE THE ACTUAL SEQUENCING REACTIONS AND A UNIT THAT WILL SEMIAUTOMATE THE POURING OF SEQUENCING GELS.
