Abstract
During this effort, Cybernet Systems will study existing Personal Communications System (PCS) concepts which can be used to create an optimal digital video distribution system using PCS technology. In addition, we will provide the design specifications for a system which facilitates wide area distribution and receipt of information by the soldier. Commercial applications for the digital video distribution PCS system exist in areas where the monitoring of rapidly changing events over a wireless network will improve performance and reduce cost. Examples include, but are not limited to, field service, emergency and disaster management, and security.
