Abstract

In Phase II of this program, Indigo Systems proposes to complete the design of a 324x124 uncooled microbolometer focal plane array (FPA) and fabricate the Readout Integrated Circuit (ROIC). The FPA will serve as the key enabler of a low-cost,high-sensitivity, high-reliability night vision sensor (NVS) with utility in both commercial and military applications. The sensor is intended primarily for installation in automobiles as a nighttime driving aid. However, the economy of scale associatedwith the enormous automotive market provides the potential for a very low-cost thermal sensor with military utility.
