Abstract

Data Fusion Corporation and the Environmental Research Institute of Michigan (ERIM) propose the development of a comprehensive software package of image inversion algorithms to support the detection and determination of environmental changes using IFSAR imagery. This software package is intended to support rapid mapping of such changes and would be compatible with TEC's future TDBS workstation. The Phase I effort will include: IFSAR for estimating elevation data, extraction of physical variables from SAR radiometric data via inverse radiometric SAR models, computer vision algorithms for feature detection using physical as well as image data, evidential accrual for rule-based updating hypotheses.
