Abstract

We will develop a life model for a battery consisting of twenty-four 15 Ah cells connected in a mixed series and parallel configuration. The battery life model will be used to provide high fidelity predictions of the charge and discharge performance of each individual cell in a battery over an extended battery life time. Testing will account for variables such as non-uniform cell temperatures, unbalanced cells and other identified parameters and mechanisms. A user-friendly interface will be developed for the life model of the battery.
