Abstract

This SBIR Phase I program will test the feasibility of achieving a high effective radar cross section over extremely wide bandwidth in a small, low-cost, RF repeater module, using a retrodirective array of a very small repeaters. The array factors effectively multiply the RF characteristics of a single channel to realize high array gain and power using low-performance amplifier. An integral goal of this program is the development of a very broadband, low-cost antenna element suitable for the array concept. The ARFP design may be scaled to yield different sets of characteristics gain, radiated power, size, form factor, cost-for specific applications.
