Abstract
This STTR Phase II program will create novel devices and system designs, expanding upon the microring resonator based silicon WDM modulator designs and system concepts developed during Phase I. The focus will be on linear transmitters and analog fiberoptic systems, used to transmit and transform analog signals, based on the Linearized - Ring Assisted Mach Zehnder Interferometer (L-RAMZI) modulator device proposed during Phase I. A secondary aspect will consider the use of these linear transmitters for spectrally efficient high-bit-rate digital information.
