Abstract
In Phase I, International Electronic Machines (IEM) Corporation demonstrated the feasibility of designing a RSTA/Mobility module capable of 360 degree visual coverage and long-range targeting in day or night conditions, rugged enough to survive hard use on a UGV, and able to meet other technical requirements specified. Later Option work has led to the development of required image enhancement software, hardware optimization, and ruggedization/weatherization features. For Phase II, IEM will produce a full-scale production-ready prototype of this innovative RSTA/Mobility module which will include the following innovations and key features: Discern appropriate targets (such as HUMVEEs) day or night in accordance with the detailed specifications produced in Phase I. Include proprietary and innovative image enhancement software Meet bandwidth requirements with unique and proprietary RF-aware compression algorithms Feature a simple and intuitive control interface allowing the user to use the RSTA module remotely Utilize unique, innovative, and patent-pending multispectral optics in all visual systems. Use imaging systems with no wearable moving parts, including a completely unique synthetic field-of-view approach for the targeting task. Be weatherproof and rugged to survive years of hard use. The end product will have many uses in the RSTA application as well as other surveillance and monitoring markets.
