The government’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs make over $2.6 billion in high-risk, non-dilutive capital available to innovative small companies annually. In this half-day class, attendees learn SBIR/STTR program basics, including: program purpose, eligibility, sources of funding and tools for proposal development. The class is designed provide enough information for attendees to determine if they would like to seriously pursue a grant or contract proposal.

Speaker:  Michael Kurek, PhD, Partner,BBC Entrepreneurial Training & Consulting (BBCetc)

Speaker Information:Michael has been a partner at BBCetc since joining the company in 2001. Prior to that, he held management positions in marketing, sales, and business development for several start-up and early-stage companies in industries such as medical devices, informatics, and research tools. He holds a Ph.D. in Genetics from Florida State University and an M.B.A. from Boston University.
