SBIR-STTR-Success: Referentia Systems
Initially developed with the help of the DOD SBIR program, Referentia’s LiveAction technology supports the Federal Government's communications to improve reliability, availability, and security in bandwidth limited environments particularly for the Marine Corps and Navy. LiveAction transforms an organization's existing network infrastructure into a real-time sensor to improve cyber security and maintain mission-critical operations, offering enhanced situational awareness by providing visibility into an organization's network infrastructure.
Referentia Systems has been utilizing the federal SBIR program since 2004 and recently became the only Hawaiian company ever to achieve National Security Agency (NSA) Trusted Integrator Status for providing commercial solutions to classified systems. The company also opened Hawaii’s very first Cyber Collaboration Center, which focuses on cybersecurity initiatives critical for advancing the defense, energy, healthcare, transportation, and financial sectors and other national critical infrastructures.
In 2016, Referentia announced the launch of “in2lytics”, a new spin-off company focused on commercializing Referentia’s award-winning innovative large data set analysis solutions after more than ten years of development and customer deployments. Customers include small and mid-sized electric utilities as well as microgrids in both the commercial and military sectors. The in2lytics technology helps utility companies improve their management of smart grids and facilitate reliable, efficient integration of distributed renewable energy resources into legacy grid environments.
