Nearly every modern piece of machinery relies on GPS to work accurately. From cars and weapons to power grids and financial institutions, GPS is a critical component of our daily lives. However, with such a ubiquitous presence, testing every unit becomes an impossible task. PreTalen came to the table with a solution for automating the testing process, with the help of the Air Force SBIR program.
Today, PreTalen boasts a line of PNT (Position, Navigation and Timing) systems that provide realistic and rigorous testing and evaluation of the software and hardware utilized to provide, verify and assure GPS data.
The other side of PreTalen’s expertise lies in Cyber Security, and the company recently won a $23.9 million contract from the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) enabling PNT and cyber research, development and automated vulnerability testing. This technology can be tied back to the successful PANACEA SBIR project, and today the company is selling to large prime contractors in addition to the DOD.
“If you want to go into DOD contracting and you’re a new business, you need to go through the SBIR process; there is no better way to get started,” says Greg Gerten, Chief Executive Officer at PreTalen. “It provides a win-win not only for our technology insertion and betterment of our military, but also in generating revenue for our nation and putting tax dollars to work.”
PreTalen continues to expand its solution space, and provides expert systems engineering support for space, navigation, electronic warfare and cybersecurity.
