Abstract

To meet the demands of the MDA16-T005 STTR solicitation, the MaXentric/UTK team proposes the MaXPMFT, which exploits a wideband software defined radio architecture to create a transmitter with programmable output frequency. The flexible system will provide the ideal solution for current and future missile flight test telemetry needs through its compatibility with nearly all missile platforms and signals. The solution leverages recent advancements in commercially available integrated technology to create a transmitter, which is frequency programmable and signal agnostic. The system has low size, weight and power while achieving wide bandwidth and high linearity. The design also exploits the teams expertise in high efficiency/wideband frontend design. The system architecture uses MaXentrics envelope tracking power amplifier technology to maximize performance.Approved for Public Release | 18-MDA-9522 (23 Feb 18)
