In Phase II, RINI plans to complete the Detailed Design of a full-scale Portable Expeditionary Cold Storage System (PECSS) that leverages the design approach successfully demonstrated in Phase I. As part of the Phase II program, RINI will begin the FDA 510(k) clearance process and will fabricate PECSS prototypes to conduct thermal performance testing. In the Phase II Option efforts , RINI will complete a detailed testing program that addresses the robustness of the design with a series of MIL-STD-810 environmental tests, operational tests simulating tactical Role 1 / Role 2 scenarios and any documentation or testing needed to complete the FDA 510(k) certification process. At the end of the Phase II Base effort, RINI intends to deliver ten (10) TRL-6 full-scale PECSS prototypes to MARSYSCOM for evaluation and field testing.
