The Airspace Monitoring Service (AMS) is a scalable and cost-effective solution to provide low altitude airspace detection and tracking capabilities for sUAS over a large area. AMS is composed of a network of distributed passive RF detection sensors, called HL1000s, that provide detection, classification, geolocation, and tracking of Radio Frequency (RF) energy with superior range and performance characteristics. AMS provides real-time location of UAS, pilots/takeoff location, trend monitoring, data analytics on sUAS activity, and provides broadcast Remote ID information. The proposed SBIR Phase I effort will involve working with DAF end-users, exploring their problems, and assessing the feasibility of integrating our AF-adapted product into their systems.
