Abstract
Q-DOT proposes an innovative wideband microwave programmable delay line network. The proposed approach offers an unprecedented combination of bandwidth, 16 GHz, resolution, delays to 655.34 Us in steps of 20 ns, delay stability, 1 ns over temperature, and amplitude stability, +-1.5 dB. Most of the components are off-the-shelf, with only one custom component to be developed, a micromachined, optical, single-pole, double-thro switch. As part of this proposal, Q-DOT will build a prototype of this proposed optical switch to prove feasibility.
