Abstract

The Phase II effort is to enhance the deposition rate of the pilot reactor, under design and construction, at the planned production facility. Currently the coating rate is limited to a reference rate of 1X. This work is to demonstrate, in the Synterials reactor, a rate of 5X. This rate is limited by the constraints on the pilot reactor. These improvements would be a major step toward reducing coating and capital equipment costs. In addition it would extend the time period that the pilot reactor would satisfy the production requirements before a new reactor would be required.
