Abstract
In this proposal, we proposed to develop and implement a new, advanced homing missile guidance algorithm for kinetic kill interceptors against advanced maneuvering threats. Rather than estimate target motion or develop a filter on assumed strategy of the adversary, SySense suggests that a filter be constructed so that the dynamic effect of the target in the direction of the target acceleration is blocked. In effect, this requires the filter to process with zero memory its measurements in a subspace associated with the target acceleration direction. From the state estimates of this filter, the guidance laws obtained by game theory can be used.
