Award Data
The Award database is continually updated throughout the year. As a result, data for FY24 is not expected to be complete until March, 2025.
Download all SBIR.gov award data either with award abstracts (290MB)
or without award abstracts (65MB).
A data dictionary and additional information is located on the Data Resource Page. Files are refreshed monthly.
The SBIR.gov award data files now contain the required fields to calculate award timeliness for individual awards or for an agency or branch. Additional information on calculating award timeliness is available on the Data Resource Page.

Silver coatings to combat catheter associated infections
SBC: ACRYMED, INC. Topic: N/ADESCRIPTION (provided by applicant): Abstract Indwelling catheterization is a leading cause of nosocomial infections that present an enormous drain of health care funding in the US. Clinical infections associated with urinary catheterization have been estimated to add more than $1000 to patient care. Those that occur with central venous catheterization escalate the cost to between $35,000 and $50, ...

Low-Output High Precision Automated Powder Disseminator
SBC: ADVANCED MECHANICAL SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY, Topic: CBD06101This proposal presents a Phase I SBIR project to develop a high precision, low disperse rate powder disseminator for the US Army. In the development of the sensitive detecting agent, we need to release a precise amount of C&B agents in the controlled detection experiments. However, such a technology does not exist at the present time. After examining existing technologies, we believe that the r ...

High-throughput Prediction of Compound Tissue Distribution
SBC: ANALYTICAL BIOLOGICAL SERVICES, INC. Topic: N/ADESCRIPTION (provided by applicant): The aim of the proposed research is to develop tools for the prediction of the distribution of drug compounds in the human body. There is currently no experimental high throughput screening (HTS) method for determining compound tissue distribution. A drug compound's propensity to be taken up by different tissues and organs affects whether it will reach its acti ...

Open, Flexible Platform for CAM Adherence Monitoring and Mind-Body Investigations
SBC: AMES TECHNOLOGY, INC. Topic: N/ADESCRIPTION (provided by applicant): There are very few proven biological markers to support complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) adherence investigations. Most tools currently available to CAM investigators are oriented to bio-feedback techniques and of little proven efficacy for use in quantitative research investigations. To support their work, CAM investigators need tools and technolog ...

Novel Protein Nanodelivery Systems for Biological Agent Countermeasures
SBC: ANP TECHNOLOGIES INC. Topic: A04192We propose to continue the development and characterization of a polymeric nanoencapsulation technology that can increase the lifetime of a protein therapeutic agent within a biological system. The materials have been demonstrated to exhibit no cytotoxicity and to efficiently deliver antibody against Protective Antigen of bacillus anthracis.

Rapid Detection of Acetylcholinesterase-Inhibiting Pesticides in Water Using a Handheld Assay and Reader
SBC: ANP TECHNOLOGIES INC. Topic: A06159We propose that a comparative colorimetric assay be developed that will use a ticket of the same dimensions as the current ANP immunoassay tickets. This will allow the AChE test to be conducted using a similar workflow as the lateral flow immunoassay-based HHAs and be similarly read on the ANP reader to yield an unambiguous result independent of user judgment.

Development Of A Pulsed Light Emitting Diode Dental Photocuring System
SBC: B & W TEK INC Topic: N/ADESCRIPTION (provided by applicant): LED based curing lights are beginning to replace conventional halogen lamps as the first choice for dental photo-curing applications. The target of this proposal is to develop a new generation LED dental curing light. It will be the first curing light that is optimized according to the kinetic response of the dental composite, which plays a key role in determin ...

Home Sensor Date Fusion to Support Aging in Place
SBC: CLEVERSET, INC. Topic: N/ADESCRIPTION (provided by applicant): The aging of the U.S. population presents many challenges. The existing paradigm of care will not allocate resources efficiently as the size of the population requiring home care assistance grows. Our objective is to enhance elder independence by providing both better and more timely predictive health-status assessments and direct, real-time, recommendations an ...

Response Management for Counterspace and SSA Operations
SBC: CLEVERSET, INC. Topic: AF06283The foundation of any counterspace capability is space/counterspace situation awareness. Existing AFRL/VS funded efforts have established a foundation for robust, multi-level situation awareness through multi-source, multi-level, data fusion. However, situation awareness is only useful to the extent that it informs response to threats, whether natural or man-made. AFRL/VS Space Awareness & Respons ...
