Award Data
The Award database is continually updated throughout the year. As a result, data for FY23 is not expected to be complete until September, 2024.
Download all SBIR.gov award data either with award abstracts (290MB)
or without award abstracts (65MB).
A data dictionary and additional information is located on the Data Resource Page. Files are refreshed monthly.
The SBIR.gov award data files now contain the required fields to calculate award timeliness for individual awards or for an agency or branch. Additional information on calculating award timeliness is available on the Data Resource Page.

SIMON: Simulation and Modeling for SANs
SBC: ARCHITECTURE TECHNOLOGY INC Topic: N04T017The use of Net-Centric Enterprise Services (NCES) to provide ubiquitous access to information within the Department of Defense presents challenges in both the design and implementation of these systems. The need to provide information to the war-fighter in a timely manner while maintaining the security of the system in challenging environments far exceeds the capabilities of present day enterpris ...

Novel Materials for Ultra-Sensitive Low-Frequency Magnetometers
SBC: NVE CORP. (FORMERLY NONVOLATILE ELECTRONICS, INC. Topic: N05T025This work seeks to develop the ultra-low-frequency performance of spin-dependent-tunneling magnetic-field sensors through the use of novel thin-film materials to lower the frequency-dependent excess noise and increase the signal response. What is proposed is an investigation of novel thin film materials recently discovered to have high magnetoresistance effects. Magnetic sensor devices will be f ...

Ruggedized Multifunction Fiber-Optic Transceiver Optical Subassembly
SBC: Mytek, LLC Topic: N05T005We will address the requirement for fault identification and isolation in fiber optic data links by incorporating an optical time domain reflectance (OTDR) functionality into the transceiver module. Our approach is to monolithically integrate a high speed photodetector that will sense reflections from discontinuities in the optical channel, with the 850nm VCSEL which transmits the signal.

Plan Understanding & Mission Assessment (PUMA)
SBC: SMART INFORMATION FLOW TECHNOLOGIES LLC Topic: N05T017Two technologies with nearly perfect complementary capabilities are combined in this project. Univer-sity of Virginia has developed the Tactical Interface for Monitoring and Retargeting (TIMR), based on recent Tactical Tomahawk work. This provides decision aiding and an underlying simulation platform, but by design provides no autonomous planning capability. SIFT has developed PlaybookT, an int ...

Software for the Design and Certification of Unitized Airframe Components
SBC: VEXTEC Corporation Topic: AF05T015This SBIR Phase I will demonstrate the feasibility for a unitized component structural design tool that allows for holistic risk assessment. The analysis will transform the FEA predicted stress (or strain) state into fully probabilistic assessment of uncertainty in geometry and loading throughout the component. Thereafter the design tool will conduct probabilistic microstructural damage accumulati ...

Gene Expression and Diagnosis of Diabetes
SBC: ARTHROCHIP, LLC Topic: N/ADESCRIPTION (provided by applicant): Autoimmune diseases are difficult to diagnose, as the symptoms can be nonspecific. A single test that could readily distinguish between an autoimmune and non-autoimmune disorder would allow physicians to focus efforts on the specific disease that affects the patient. This is critical for diabetes mellitus (DM), which has two subsets, Type I and Type II. The sub ...

Automated Test of Word Recognition- Phase II
SBC: AUDIOLOGY, INC Topic: N/ADESCRIPTION (provided by applicant): Over 5 million word recognition tests are administered annually by audiologists in the United States with an associated cost of more than $100 million. These tests are currently performed manually by highly trained audiologists. This application describes the Phase II development of automated clinical speech recognition tests using clinical test recordings and ...

Audiometric Earphone- Phase 1
SBC: AUDIOLOGY, INC Topic: N/ADESCRIPTION (provided by applicant): This project seeks to develop an earphone for diagnostic audiometry with features that will significantly increase the efficiency and decrease the cost of routine hearing testing. The most-often used earphones emply a supra-aural design that has several undesirable characteristics, including 1) an "occlusion effect", an artificial increase in sensitivity to bon ...

High Purity Amphotericin B: A Safer Antimycotic in AIDS
SBC: CUMBERLAND PHARMACEUTICALS, INC. Topic: N/ADESCRIPTION (provided by applicant): Cumberland Pharmaceuticals and the University of Mississippi Mycotic Research Centers' long-term goal will be to improve anti-fungal pharmacotherapy particularly for patients with human immunodeficiency infections (HIV). We are jointly developing a high purity amphotericin B (AmB HP) product for intravenous administration. The nominal purity of AmB HP is 95%; ...

New anti-complement therapy to reduce reperfusion injury
SBC: ENDOPROTECH, INC. Topic: N/ADESCRIPTION (provided by applicant): The purpose of this proposal is to provide proof-of-concept that a novel therapy that prevents complement activation could be effective in reducing ischemia reperfusion injury (IRI) in transplanted organs. Complement activation after IRI in transplanted organs is a well-known phenomenon that may be responsible for delayed graft function and the hastening of ...
