The Award database is continually updated throughout the year. As a result, data for FY24 is not expected to be complete until March, 2025.

Download all SBIR.gov award data either with award abstracts (290MB) or without award abstracts (65MB). A data dictionary and additional information is located on the Data Resource Page. Files are refreshed monthly.

The SBIR.gov award data files now contain the required fields to calculate award timeliness for individual awards or for an agency or branch. Additional information on calculating award timeliness is available on the Data Resource Page.

  1. Advanced Aerosolization of Metallic Powder Using a Low Temperature Sublimable Solid

    SBC: ATS-MER, LLC            Topic: A07T024

This Phase II STTR ARMY project proposes the refinement and scale-up of advanced processes to mix solutions of low melting temperature sublimable solid eutectic materials with metal nanoflake powders and then solidify these slurries into a desired shape compact. The main project goals are to accomplish good metal nanoflake powder deagglomeration in the liquid eutectic phase, to attain good densifi ...

  2. Military Surgical Information System

SBC: MOBERG RESEARCH INC            Topic: A07T038

This Phase II project will develop a system for the perioperative management of head trauma patients that is compliant with the proposed Integrated Clinical Environment (ICE) standard. Device interoperability will be implemented using a microprocessor-based adapter that translates communication protocols of specific legacy medical devices into a standard protocol readable by an open-source API. T ...

  3. Automatic Generation of Robust Network Intrusion Detection Signatures

SBC: Reservoir Labs, Inc.            Topic: OSD06NC2

In this Phase II STTR project, we propose to develop a system that autonomously and rapidly (1) detects exploitation of application software vulnerabilities (including previously unknown vulnerabilities) via dynamic taint analysis; (2) generates vulnerability signatures identifying nearly all traffic that exploits those same vulnerabilitieseven traffic with no superficial similarities to the obser ...

  4. Automatic Generation of Robust Network Intrusion Detection Signatures

SBC: RETHER NETWORKS, INC.            Topic: OSD06NC2

We propose to build a program transformation system called DIRA that can automatically embed into network applications a comprehensive cyber defense against an important class of attacks called control-hijacking attacks, which allow remote attackers to hijack a remote program and eventually its underlying system, and include such attacks as buffer overflow, integer overflow and format string attac ...

  5. Continuous Dynamic Simulation of Nonlinear Aerodynamics/Nonlinear Structure Interaction (NANSI) for Morphing Vehicles

SBC: ZONA TECHNOLOGY INC            Topic: AF06T016

ZONA Team proposes in Phase II to develop a general nonlinear methodology with a new and expedient reduced-order-modeling-based procedure as well as direct numerical simulation capability for nonlinear aeroelastic design/analysis of air-vehicles and MAVs under continuous dynamic morphing The proposed methodology, called NANSI.AE, has significant novelty and merits in that it integrates multidisci ...

  6. PREdicting MObility using STATistics (PreMoStat)

SBC: GRIFFIN TECHNOLOGIES, INC.            Topic: A07T026

The proposed work addresses the problem of determining whether a given small unmanned ground vehicle (SUGV) can traverse a given terrain, when the state of both the SUGV and the terrain are not known exactly. In Phase I, we developed Monte Carlo-based methods to predict the mobility of the PackBot on steps, and we experimentally validated those methods with experiments with a real robot on real t ...

  7. Intracellular Detection of Small Molecules in Live Cells

SBC: AGAVE BIOSYSTEMS INC.            Topic: AF11BT09

ABSTRACT: Protection of first responders who are exposed to hazards including chemical warfare agents (CWAs) is a very critical need. The need is derived from not only their welfare but their ability to respond, protect the community and provide logistical support to the response. A simple exposure monitor would provide critical information to the first responder and allow them to respond accor ...

  8. Real Time 3-D Modeling and Immersive Visualization for Enhanced Soldier Situation Awareness

SBC: Carnegie Robotics LLC            Topic: A12aT003

We propose a rapid mapping and 3-D visualization system especially suited for inside buildings, tunnels, urban canyons, and other environments where GPS may be poor or not available. The system--which was fully demonstrated in our Phase I effort-- includes mobile Sensor Nodes that wirelessly supply compressed 3D range data and color imagery to a central Fusion Node. The Fusion Node runs 3D recon ...

  9. Scale up of EO polymers and their utilization in novel nano-imprinted sub-wavelength waveguide-based Modulators and Arrays

    SBC: TIPD LLC            Topic: AF11BT01

ABSTRACT: The Phase II technical objectives follow directly from the Phase I effort, where all tasks necessary for RF photonic receiver fabrication were demonstrated. The Phase II effort will pursue two major objectives: 1) further development of SEO100 EO polymer based chips, packaged devices and arrays in collaboration with University of Dayton (antenna designs), taking advantage of multiphoto ...

  10. Solar Blind MgZnO Photodetectors

SBC: AGNITRON TECHNOLOGY, INC.            Topic: A13AT006

This project address the fabrication of solar blind detectors from the MgZnO material system. Both MBE and MOCVD material growth techniques will be used for deposition of the required material layers. Simulation software we be used to aid in the design of the photodetector structure. Devices will be fabricated from the grown structures and their electrical and optical characteristics determined.
