The Award database is continually updated throughout the year. As a result, data for FY24 is not expected to be complete until March, 2025.

Download all SBIR.gov award data either with award abstracts (290MB) or without award abstracts (65MB). A data dictionary and additional information is located on the Data Resource Page. Files are refreshed monthly.

The SBIR.gov award data files now contain the required fields to calculate award timeliness for individual awards or for an agency or branch. Additional information on calculating award timeliness is available on the Data Resource Page.

  1. Random Number Generation for High Performance Computing

SBC: Silicon Informatics, Inc.            Topic: A10aT012

A parallel random number generation suite that generates, dynamically, millions of parallel pseduorandom number streams suitable for consumption by high performance computing (HPC) applications on various platforms will be implemented, tested, and provided to Government, academic and private HPC users for their evaluation and use. The software will be tuned for scalability, repeatability and effic ...

  2. Stick-to-Stress Dynamic Flight Simulation for Virtual Flight Test

SBC: ZONA TECHNOLOGY INC            Topic: AF10BT16

ABSTRACT: The overall technical objectives of the Phase II efforts are to develop, implement, and validate a computationally efficient and accurate buffet load predictive capability in ZONA's Stick-To-Stress Dynamic Flight Simulation (STS-DFS). This capability will allow a continuous simulation of the aircraft in STS-DFS for smoothly varying angle of attack and speed providing aircraft attit ...

  3. High Power, Room Temperature 2.4- 4 micron Mid-IR Semiconductor Laser Optimization

SBC: NONLINEAR CONTROL STRATEGIES, INC.            Topic: AF10BT20

ABSTRACT: The objective of this project is to develop sophisticated, graphical user interface driven software tools built on fully microscopic physics to design, guide and provide feedback on growth, fabrication and evaluation of semiconductor structures that provide optical gain in the critical 2.4-4 micron window. The mid-IR laser software design development has several potential applications t ...

  4. Self-Reconfigurable Memristor-Based Computing Architecture: Design, Fabrication, and Characterization

SBC: Bio Inspired Technologies, LLC            Topic: AF10BT31

ABSTRACT: The chalcogenide based ion-conducting memristor has been shown to be an effective element as the core of a simple neuromorphic computing circuit. The response of the computing circuit is the result of weighted external stimuli, the current state of the device, and the history of exposure by the device to the stimuli. A highly specialized version of the device, as developed by the Advanc ...

  5. Development of a Recombinant Vaccine Against Streptococcus Pyogenes Infection and Disease

    SBC: VAXFORM LLC            Topic: A12aT027

A vaccine to protect against diseases resulting from infection with Streptococcus pyogenes is under development. This vaccine utilizes a recombinant fusion protein (SpeAB) comprising of genetically detoxified SpeA, a secreted toxin, and SpeB, a surface bound and secreted cysteine protease. During phase I investigations a lead vaccine formulation was determined by optimization of critical paramet ...

  6. Real Time 3-D Modeling and Immersive Visualization for Enhanced Soldier Situation Awareness

SBC: Carnegie Robotics LLC            Topic: A12aT003

We propose a rapid mapping and 3-D visualization system especially suited for inside buildings, tunnels, urban canyons, and other environments where GPS may be poor or not available. The system--which was fully demonstrated in our Phase I effort-- includes mobile Sensor Nodes that wirelessly supply compressed 3D range data and color imagery to a central Fusion Node. The Fusion Node runs 3D recon ...

  7. Scale up of EO polymers and their utilization in novel nano-imprinted sub-wavelength waveguide-based Modulators and Arrays

    SBC: TIPD LLC            Topic: AF11BT01

ABSTRACT: The Phase II technical objectives follow directly from the Phase I effort, where all tasks necessary for RF photonic receiver fabrication were demonstrated. The Phase II effort will pursue two major objectives: 1) further development of SEO100 EO polymer based chips, packaged devices and arrays in collaboration with University of Dayton (antenna designs), taking advantage of multiphoto ...

  8. Optimized Process for Ultrasonic Consolidation of Metallic Composites

SBC: TOUCHSTONE RESEARCH LABORATORY, LTD.            Topic: A12aT004

The overall objective of the proposed effort is to develop an improved ultrasonic consolidation (UC) process for metal matrix composites (MMCs). The Phase I effort demonstrated the feasibility of using a fiber-matrix unit cell finite element analysis to study the thermal and acoustic softening that occurs during UC. The analyses completed in Phase I highlighted the need for uniform prepreg mater ...

  9. Near Real-Time Quantification of Stochastic Model Parameters

SBC: APPLIED MATHEMATICS, INC.            Topic: A13AT009

Mathematical models of physical and biological systems contain parameters that need to be estimated from measured data. Models with parameters distributed probabilistically require the estimates of a probability measure over the set of admissible parameters. We propose to use frequentist-based approaches for non-parametrically estimating probability measures that describe the distribution of par ...

  10. Solar Blind MgZnO Photodetectors

SBC: AGNITRON TECHNOLOGY, INC.            Topic: A13AT006

This project address the fabrication of solar blind detectors from the MgZnO material system. Both MBE and MOCVD material growth techniques will be used for deposition of the required material layers. Simulation software we be used to aid in the design of the photodetector structure. Devices will be fabricated from the grown structures and their electrical and optical characteristics determined.
