Award Data
The Award database is continually updated throughout the year. As a result, data for FY24 is not expected to be complete until March, 2025.
Download all SBIR.gov award data either with award abstracts (290MB)
or without award abstracts (65MB).
A data dictionary and additional information is located on the Data Resource Page. Files are refreshed monthly.
The SBIR.gov award data files now contain the required fields to calculate award timeliness for individual awards or for an agency or branch. Additional information on calculating award timeliness is available on the Data Resource Page.

Solar Blind MgZnO Photodetectors
SBC: AGNITRON TECHNOLOGY, INC. Topic: A13AT006This project address the fabrication of solar blind detectors from the MgZnO material system. Both MBE and MOCVD material growth techniques will be used for deposition of the required material layers. Simulation software we be used to aid in the design of the photodetector structure. Devices will be fabricated from the grown structures and their electrical and optical characteristics determined.

High Performance Electric-Field Sensor Based on Enhanced Electro-Optic Polymer Refilled Slot Photonic Crystal Waveguides
SBC: OMEGA OPTICS, INC. Topic: AF11BT01ABSTRACT: This Phase II STTR research proposal aims to demonstrate an antenna coupled phase modulator based on an Electro-optic (EO) polymer refilled slot photonic crystal waveguide (PCW) for operation in the Q band. The goal is to detect field strengths of 100uW/m^2 in an Intensity Modulation Direct Detection (IMDD) scheme using subwavelength antennas. The EO polymer is the SEO125 provided by Dr ...

Real Time 3-D Modeling and Immersive Visualization for Enhanced Soldier Situation Awareness
SBC: Carnegie Robotics LLC Topic: A12aT003We propose a rapid mapping and 3-D visualization system especially suited for inside buildings, tunnels, urban canyons, and other environments where GPS may be poor or not available. The system--which was fully demonstrated in our Phase I effort-- includes mobile Sensor Nodes that wirelessly supply compressed 3D range data and color imagery to a central Fusion Node. The Fusion Node runs 3D recon ...

Rapid anomaly detection and tracking via compressive time-spectra measurement
SBC: Inview Technology Corporation Topic: A12aT007The main goal of the Phase II program is to build and test an operational prototype compressive sensing (CS) camera capable of high-speed change detection. Based on the algorithmic development, hardware modeling and simulation achievements of Phase I, we have defined a real-time CS framework that will be implemented in Phase II in an operational prototype. This framework, similar to Phase I, begin ...

Portable Pollen Analyzer
SBC: APPLIED NANOTECH, INC. Topic: A12aT018We propose to leverage the expertise of Applied Nanotech, Inc. (ANI) in building highly sensitive, selective, portable and versatile GC/DMS instruments, to create a system to uniquely identify pollen species in complex mixtures based on their VOC profile. This project will determine which VOCs shall be collected and how many pollen grains are needed in order to increase the confidence of accuratel ...

Inorganic Oxide Supported Biomimetic Membranes with Ion Channels for DMFC Application
SBC: LYNNTECH INC. Topic: A11aT013Methanol crossover of commercial Nafion membranes is a major issue that results in lowering of the efficiency of direct methanol fuel cells (DMFCs). A biomimetic approach for the membrane design using either proton conducting nanochannels and/or nanothin barrier layer can produce DMFC membranes with highly selective and fast proton transfer. In the Phase I project, Lynntech demonstrated the feasib ...
