The Award database is continually updated throughout the year. As a result, data for FY24 is not expected to be complete until March, 2025.

Download all SBIR.gov award data either with award abstracts (290MB) or without award abstracts (65MB). A data dictionary and additional information is located on the Data Resource Page. Files are refreshed monthly.

The SBIR.gov award data files now contain the required fields to calculate award timeliness for individual awards or for an agency or branch. Additional information on calculating award timeliness is available on the Data Resource Page.

  1. Intracellular Detection of Small Molecules in Live Cells

SBC: AGAVE BIOSYSTEMS INC.            Topic: AF11BT09

ABSTRACT: Protection of first responders who are exposed to hazards including chemical warfare agents (CWAs) is a very critical need. The need is derived from not only their welfare but their ability to respond, protect the community and provide logistical support to the response. A simple exposure monitor would provide critical information to the first responder and allow them to respond accor ...

  2. Real Time 3-D Modeling and Immersive Visualization for Enhanced Soldier Situation Awareness

SBC: Carnegie Robotics LLC            Topic: A12aT003

We propose a rapid mapping and 3-D visualization system especially suited for inside buildings, tunnels, urban canyons, and other environments where GPS may be poor or not available. The system--which was fully demonstrated in our Phase I effort-- includes mobile Sensor Nodes that wirelessly supply compressed 3D range data and color imagery to a central Fusion Node. The Fusion Node runs 3D recon ...

  3. Scale up of EO polymers and their utilization in novel nano-imprinted sub-wavelength waveguide-based Modulators and Arrays

    SBC: TIPD LLC            Topic: AF11BT01

ABSTRACT: The Phase II technical objectives follow directly from the Phase I effort, where all tasks necessary for RF photonic receiver fabrication were demonstrated. The Phase II effort will pursue two major objectives: 1) further development of SEO100 EO polymer based chips, packaged devices and arrays in collaboration with University of Dayton (antenna designs), taking advantage of multiphoto ...

  4. Solar Blind MgZnO Photodetectors

SBC: AGNITRON TECHNOLOGY, INC.            Topic: A13AT006

This project address the fabrication of solar blind detectors from the MgZnO material system. Both MBE and MOCVD material growth techniques will be used for deposition of the required material layers. Simulation software we be used to aid in the design of the photodetector structure. Devices will be fabricated from the grown structures and their electrical and optical characteristics determined.

  5. Sensitivity Analysis Methods for Complex, Multidisciplinary Systems

SBC: ZONA TECHNOLOGY INC            Topic: AF11BT06

ABSTRACT: The overall technical objective of this Phase II effort is to develop computational tools for computing response sensitivities of parametric multi-disciplinary air vehicle systems that exhibit nonlinear dynamic behavior for use in gradient-based optimization, smart sampling, uncertainty quantification, and risk assessment. To this end, the ZONA/MIT team will extend the 2-D ZEUS time-dom ...

  6. High efficiency up- and down-converting infrared nanoparticles

SBC: Nanoscience Solutions, LLC            Topic: AF11BT24

ABSTRACT: This Phase II proposal will capitalize on the success of Phase I to further develop stable and optically efficient fluorescent particles that absorb and emit light in the infrared part of the spectrum and lack any visible light emissions. The specific goals of Phase II will be to further research infrared nanoparticles to increase their brightness with an emphasis on production scalabi ...

  7. Tools for Parallel Adaptive Simulation of Multiphase Ballistic Flows

    SBC: SIMMETRIX, INC.            Topic: A15AT002

Ballistic systems operate in flow regimes characterized by high speeds, temperatures and pressures, with reacting multiphase, multi-species fluids and fluid-structure interactions. Substantial progress has been made on methods to simulate the component physics. However, there are technical gaps remaining related to tracking the interacting physical components throughout a simulation. This project ...

  8. Development of an Efficient Flutter and Limit Cycle Oscillation Predictive Tool

SBC: ZONA TECHNOLOGY INC            Topic: AF14AT04

In this Phase II effort, an accurate, user-friendly, well validated, and production-ready efficient flutter and Limit Cycle Oscillation (LCO) predictive tool will be developed. The ZONA Euler Unsteady Solver (ZEUS) will be first modified to improve its computational efficiency by automating the load balancing Message Passing Interface (MPI) and to incorporate a time-accurate boundary layer method. ...

  9. Physics-Based Models for Mid-IR Bismides Semiconductor Lasers

SBC: NONLINEAR CONTROL STRATEGIES, INC.            Topic: AF14AT27

ABSTRACT: The objective of this STTR is to determine the potential of the novel III-V-Bi material system for laser applications for the 3-5m window with the potential of watt-level powers for Air Force applications. This wavelength range is currently inadequately served for CW operation at room temperature by three challenging technologies: i) quantum cascade lasers (QCL), interband cascade lasers ...

  10. DREAMIT- Design, Reconfigure and Evaluate Autonomous Models in Training

SBC: TIER 1 PERFORMANCE SOLUTIONS LLC            Topic: AF15AT14

Our Phase I work focused on improving modeling and simulations so that the impact of autonomous systems in the battlespace could be better understood. As we have trained our attention on Phase II, it has become increasingly clear that the work we are doing to improve the modeling and simulation of autonomous systems also provides significant leverage for the development of the intelligent behavior ...
