Open Call for Science and Technology Created by Early-Stage (e.g. University) Teams
SBC: 4TH PHASE WATER TECHNOLOGIES LLC Topic: AF19BT001Durable and robust large-area ultrathin CNT sheets can be produced from pristine CNT sheets following proprietary CNT purification and densification processes. The resulting CNT sheets are free-standing, flexible, durable, robust, ultrathin (< 5 m) and lightweight (~6 g per m2). They withstand corrosion and heat and are superior at shielding EMI (effectiveness >= 55 dB in the X band).

Compact Radio Frequency-to-Optical Transmitter for Airborne Military Environments
SBC: Phase Sensitive Innovations, Inc. Topic: N191006In this SBIR effort we will develop an ultra-compact, high-speed, low RIN and high-power transmitter for high-performance RF photonic link applications based on our cutting-edge lithium niobate on insulator (LNOI) modulator. In phase I, we will design, fabricate and characterize a low Vp, push-and-pull LNOI modulator. We will study the optical couplings at the laser/modulator/fiber interfaces to a ...

Instant k-Space Tomography for Spatial-Spectral Monitoring
SBC: Phase Sensitive Innovations, Inc. Topic: AF17AT013The Army is frequently forced to operate in hostile climates. Heavy fog, rain, snow, and dust storms can inhibit the performance of tracking technologies such as mid-wave infrared cameras. In such conditions, Army early warning systems are blinded and put personnel and assets at risk. There is a specific need for a degraded visual environment (DVE) penetrative target tracking solution.Radio frequen ...
