The Award database is continually updated throughout the year. As a result, data for FY24 is not expected to be complete until March, 2025.

Download all SBIR.gov award data either with award abstracts (290MB) or without award abstracts (65MB). A data dictionary and additional information is located on the Data Resource Page. Files are refreshed monthly.

The SBIR.gov award data files now contain the required fields to calculate award timeliness for individual awards or for an agency or branch. Additional information on calculating award timeliness is available on the Data Resource Page.

  1. VLWIR SLS Digital FPA for Hyperspectral Imaging

    SBC: QMAGIQ LLC            Topic: A13AT014

QmagiQ and MIT-LL will partner to develop a high-performance very longwave infrared digital focal plane array (VLWIR DFPA) suitable for hyperspectral imaging applications. The DFPA will be based on Type-II antimony-based strained layer superlattice (SLS) photodiodes with > 13 micron cutoff, hybridized to a digital readout integrated circuit (DROIC). In Phase I, we investigated the performance of a ...

  2. Advanced Warhead Design

SBC: CORVID TECHNOLOGIES, LLC            Topic: A13054

The overall goal of the proposed Phase II effort is to mature the concept of a blast-only CRAM warhead. The outcome of the Phase II will be a detailed warhead design, with accompanying lethality analysis to aid in implementing the warhead at a system level. Future development of a functional blast-only CRAM interceptor will be based upon the results of this Phase II effort.

  3. High Resolution Diffraction Imaging of Natural Fracture Zones in Unconventional Shale Reservoirs for Well Placement Optimization

    SBC: Z-Terra Inc.            Topic: 15c

Accounting for the geologic conditions in unconventional shales is an important factor in an optimization problem. Placing the wells too close wastes drilling money. Placing the wells too far leaves resources in the ground. Given the fact that a well in unconventional shales may cost $12-20 million, optimizing the well placement of hundreds of wells in a field becomes a very large cost savings and ...

  4. Quantifying Appropriate De-rating of 1.2kV, 1.7kV and 3.3kV SiC MOSFETs Subject to Cosmic Rays

SBC: MONOLITH SEMICONDUCTOR INC            Topic: 11a

In the budget period 1 of the phase-II proposal, the effect of terrestrial cosmic rays on the failure rate of 1.2kV, 1.7kV and 3.3kV SiC power MOSFETs will be studied. The goal of the study is to quantify the appropriate breakdown voltage de-rating needed for SiC MOSFETs subject to cosmic rays. The failure rate of SiC power MOSFETs as a function of the reverse blocking voltage will be determined a ...

  5. Low Z Thin Film Stripper Foils, Targets and X-Ray Windows

SBC: UHV TECHNOLOGIES, INC.            Topic: 39e

The latest rare isotope and ion beam accelerator facilities used for important nuclear physics experiments require free standing thin film stripper foils, targets and x-ray windows made from low atomic number (low Z) elements such as Be, B and C. It is expected that the currently used thin films will need to be improved due to the much higher beam power densities in the next generation nuclear res ...

  6. Advanced Compression System for Radionuclide Monitoring

    SBC: CREARE LLC            Topic: 26b

Radioxenon monitoring systems are an important tool for detecting nuclear weapon tests around the world. These systems must be reliable and have low contamination potential because nuclear detonations can occur without warning and the opportunity to detect these events is relatively brief. Additionally, mobile systems must be compact, lightweight, and efficient to support onsite inspection and nea ...

  7. Polarized 3He gas circulating technologies for neutron analyzers

    SBC: XEMED LLC            Topic: 18b

The United States and other countries are investing in neutron scattering facilities due to their promise for research that can catalyze advances in energy, telecommunications, manufacturing, plastics, transportation, biotechnology, and health. One new type of instrument, the wide-angle polarized neutron spectrometer, is severely constrained by the volume of high-quality polarized 3He gas that can ...

  8. Development of a Multiplex Bioassay for Early Predictors of Multiple Organ Injury

    SBC: NANOHMICS INC            Topic: DHP14005

"ABSTRACT: Bioassays employed to evaluate the diverse range of biomarkers associated with organ injury are time-consuming, costly and require multiple instruments/testing formats to reach a diagnosis (i.e. fluorescence-based capture, ELISAs, PCR, etc.). Individually, these platforms are incapable of predicting the onset of irreversible organ tissue injury (e.g. kidney, liver, heart and lung). If a ...

  9. Flexible Pipe Couplers for Molten Salt

SBC: BRAYTON ENERGY LLC            Topic: 06c

Reliable, cost-competitive thermal storage is critical to the growth of the concentrated solar power market. The proposed program focuses on a key component which impacts future trough systems, addressing chronic reliability problems, and providing a pathway to higher plant operating temperatures and resulting higher efficiency. Todays solar trough plants use synthetic oil heat transfer fluids whi ...
