The Award database is continually updated throughout the year. As a result, data for FY24 is not expected to be complete until March, 2025.

Download all SBIR.gov award data either with award abstracts (290MB) or without award abstracts (65MB). A data dictionary and additional information is located on the Data Resource Page. Files are refreshed monthly.

The SBIR.gov award data files now contain the required fields to calculate award timeliness for individual awards or for an agency or branch. Additional information on calculating award timeliness is available on the Data Resource Page.

  1. VLWIR SLS Digital FPA for Hyperspectral Imaging

    SBC: QMAGIQ LLC            Topic: A13AT014

QmagiQ and MIT-LL will partner to develop a high-performance very longwave infrared digital focal plane array (VLWIR DFPA) suitable for hyperspectral imaging applications. The DFPA will be based on Type-II antimony-based strained layer superlattice (SLS) photodiodes with > 13 micron cutoff, hybridized to a digital readout integrated circuit (DROIC). In Phase I, we investigated the performance of a ...

  2. Advanced Warhead Design

SBC: CORVID TECHNOLOGIES, LLC            Topic: A13054

The overall goal of the proposed Phase II effort is to mature the concept of a blast-only CRAM warhead. The outcome of the Phase II will be a detailed warhead design, with accompanying lethality analysis to aid in implementing the warhead at a system level. Future development of a functional blast-only CRAM interceptor will be based upon the results of this Phase II effort.

  3. Self-Administered Neuropsychological Assessment Battery

    SBC: CREARE LLC            Topic: A13090

The recent military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan have led to increased incidence of cognitive symptoms associated with traumatic brain injury (TBI), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), alcohol and substance abuse, mood and anxiety disorders, and chronic pain. Neurocognitive impairment negatively affects the functional performance and daily life of service members so that consistent assess ...

  4. Development of Mid-UV Semiconductor Laser Diodes

SBC: ADROIT MATERIALS, INC.            Topic: A14035

High quality, strained AlGaN thin films are a prerequisite for low dislocation density active regions of laser structures and effective doping of cladding layers. Based on our recent work and groundbreaking results, we propose a comprehensive program for development of AlGaN-based laser diodes that includes: modeling and design of the active region, epitaxial growth, characterization, and optimiza ...

  5. Scalable Integrated RF Current Source

    SBC: VADUM INC            Topic: A14034

Vadum will develop an innovative, efficient, high power, and versatile Scalable Integrated Magnetic Sensing System (SIMSS) that will deliver superior performance to the warfighter by increasing the field strength for deeper magnetic detection. By augmenting ground-penetrating radar (GPR) with SIMSS, metal and low metal mine detection, command wire, pressure plate detection, and explosive cache det ...

  6. Development of linear/non-linear radar system

    SBC: VADUM INC            Topic: A13018

In this program Vadum will implement and test a multi-mode radar system developed in Phase-I that is capable of automated electronics detection (E-Det) and Forward Looking Ground Penetrating Radar (FLGPR) operation. The prototype radar designed in this effort will leverage radar sensors for detecting electronics associated with RCIEDs and extend this baseline capability with innovation through use ...

  7. Gene-Probe Electrodes to Detect Enterically-Transmitted RNA Virus Pathogens

SBC: ALDERON BIOSCIENCES, INC.            Topic: N/A

Enterically transmitted pathogens cause far more illness than toxicants such as lead, mercury, pesticides, and all other forms of chemical contamination. The world has become increasingly vulnerable to the spread of old and flew infectious organisms and water-borne pathogens as illustrated by recent outbreaks of 20 well-known and at least 29 previously unknown diseases. New tests are needed to d ...

  8. Impedance Control Design System for Teleoperated Microsurgery

    SBC: CREARE LLC            Topic: N/A

The design and fabrication of milli-teleoperated robots for remote surgery requires the development of new design concepts which are different from those employed in macro-scale systems. Two key differences are the scale of the interaction forces and the required response characteristics of the force-reflecting systems. Previous researchers have shown that impedance-based control systems for tel ...

  9. A Comprehensive FEA Model for Design Optimization of Protective Masks

SBC: VISUAL SCIENCES, INC.            Topic: N/A

The use of computer modeling in the area of design optimizing has become practical due to recent advances in hardware and software technology. Several sophistcated software tools are avialable for three dimensional modeling and dynamic visual and numeric anaylsis of complex surfaces. This proposal presents a practical and logical approach to utilizing state-of-the-art tools and techniques for ac ...
