Award Data
The Award database is continually updated throughout the year. As a result, data for FY24 is not expected to be complete until March, 2025.
Download all SBIR.gov award data either with award abstracts (290MB)
or without award abstracts (65MB).
A data dictionary and additional information is located on the Data Resource Page. Files are refreshed monthly.
The SBIR.gov award data files now contain the required fields to calculate award timeliness for individual awards or for an agency or branch. Additional information on calculating award timeliness is available on the Data Resource Page.

High-Quality AlGaN Epitaxial Films on GaN and AlN Substrates
SBC: ADROIT MATERIALS, INC. Topic: A12aT019The objective of proposed work is to demonstrate the feasibility of obtaining AlGaN films of any composition with dislocation densities below 1x106 cm-2 on native nitride substrates either by sustaining a pseudomorphic state or by reducing the number of threading dislocations by specific stress relieving schemes at the interfaces or within the thickness of the stress management layers.

Novel Textiles for Use as Friction Buffer on Parachutes
SBC: CTW Development Company, LLC Topic: A12052During Phase I of this project CTW successfully developed a series of specialized tests to mimic the melt damage inflicted on the nylon parachute fabric during deployment. Results from this work indicated 3 approaches to meeting the goal of developing an advanced buffer fabric. In Phase II the above test capabilities will allow CTW to develop these approaches to explore many buffer fabric candidat ...

Flowable keratin biomaterials for improving infection control and wound healing, Phase 2.
SBC: Keranetics, LLC Topic: A11108Improvements in body armor, availability of equipment, and decreased patient transport times have dramatically improved Soldiers survival of combat injuries. Data suggests that future conflicts will require more aggressive wound management at the point of injury to deal with more complex wounds, particularly with respect to infection control. There is a significant need to develop and translate ...

Detection, Tracking, and Classification of Dismounts
SBC: Signal Innovations Group, Inc. Topic: A11036The detection and tracking of dismounts and the identification of threatening dismounts are critical challenges for ensuring mission success and troop safety when conducting tactical vehicle operations in hostile environments. Vehicle operators must focus on multiple tasks simultaneously: navigation, collision avoidance, location of possible IED threats, and identification of dismount threats. ...

Interactive Acoustic Simulation in Urban and Complex Environments
SBC: Impulsonic, Inc. Topic: A11aT006Outdoor acoustics simulation plays a vital role in several military and commercial applications, such as minimizing the noise profile of reconnaissance vehicles to avoid counter-detection, optimizing sensors and systems for tactical advantage, pinpointing the origin of gunshots using their acoustic signatures, noise modeling, urban planning, games and VR training. State-of-the-art outdoor acoustic ...

Multi-Resolution Representations and Simulation of Large Terrain Models
SBC: COLLIDE, INC. Topic: A03207We propose to develop multiresolution representations and algorithms for synthetic terrain environments. They will be used for representing large terrain models as well dynamic and atmospheric simulations. Our ultimate goal is to increase the validity of the simulation by incorporating the multiple models at varying resolutions. We will use the OneSAF simulation Product Line Architecture Framework ...

Prognostic Wear Prediction Tool for BlackHawk Hanger Bearings
SBC: SENTIENT SCIENCE CORPORATION Topic: A04077During Phase I, the Blackhawk hanger bearing and oil cooler fan bearing applications were studied in detail, including analysis of vibration and temperature data from used oil cooler bench tests (conducted by Sikorsky) and used hanger bearing bench tests (conducted by Sentient). This data, along with an analysis of operational and environmental conditions, has allowed us to identify the probable r ...

Porous Membrane Electrode for Quantitative Detection of Toxins
SBC: Mercury Science Inc. Topic: 816NIn Phase I, a novel porous electrode was designed to demonstrate a rapid, simple assay for the detection of domoic acid in marine samples. During Phase II, methods to manufacture porous electrodes will be improved to enable high volume production of low-cost biosensors that can be connected to a potentiostat. These biosensors will be incorporated into a portable test kit for the quantitation of do ...
