The Award database is continually updated throughout the year. As a result, data for FY24 is not expected to be complete until March, 2025.

Download all SBIR.gov award data either with award abstracts (290MB) or without award abstracts (65MB). A data dictionary and additional information is located on the Data Resource Page. Files are refreshed monthly.

The SBIR.gov award data files now contain the required fields to calculate award timeliness for individual awards or for an agency or branch. Additional information on calculating award timeliness is available on the Data Resource Page.

  1. Advanced Fan Coil Unit

    SBC: Rocky Research            Topic: N112164

An estimated 20% of a US Navy ship"s total fuel consumption is due to heating, ventilation and air-conditioning. Reduction in electrical consumption of Navy ship Fan Coil Assemblies with increased energy efficiency is necessary for fuel savings. Rocky Research proposes an advanced Fan Coil Assembly Unit with high efficiency heat exchangers, low-noise fan design, variable speed drive technology and ...

  4. Total Residual Oxidant Sensor

SBC: HALOGEN SYSTEMS, INC.            Topic: N092152

Recent efforts at improving shipboard operations have focused on desalination systems. One area in which manpower may be significantly reduced is in the monitoring chlorine residuals from hypochlorite enhanced streams that are used for periodic biofouling control flushes of microfiltration membranes. These are used for pretreatment of seawater prior to exposure to reverse osmosis membranes used fo ...

  5. Improved Ballistics, Acoustics and Combustion Stability Modeling for Solid Rocket Motors

SBC: SIERRA ENGINEERING, INC.            Topic: N101040

A new, improved fidelity solid rocket ballistics model is being built on a commercial CFD platform. The CFD platform includes a coupled solid mechanics solver, allowing for tight coupling between the grain burnback and the motor gas dynamics. An aeroacoustic component of the platform will be used to determine mode shapes and acoustic decay characteristics from the ballistics results.

  6. USE OF SATELLITE BASED MOBIL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR OVER THE HORIZON CONTROL OF SEABORNE POWERED TARGETS

SBC: Sierra Nevada Corporation            Topic: N/A

SEABORNE POWERED TARGETS ARE CURRENTLY REMOTELY CONTROLLED VIA LINE OF SIGHT RADIO FREQUENCY SYSTEMS. IT IS DESIRED TO REMOVE THIS LINE OF SIGHT LIMITATION. THE PROPOSED SOLUTION WILL UTILIZE A TARGET BORNE LORAN C NAVIGATOR TO ESTABLISH LOCATION AND AUTONOMOUSLY CONTROL THE TARGET BETWEEN WAYPOINTS INSERTED INTO THE NAVIGATION. LOCATION DATA WILL BE COMMUNICATED TO A CONTROL STATION, FOR MONITORI ...
