The Award database is continually updated throughout the year. As a result, data for FY24 is not expected to be complete until March, 2025.

Download all SBIR.gov award data either with award abstracts (290MB) or without award abstracts (65MB). A data dictionary and additional information is located on the Data Resource Page. Files are refreshed monthly.

The SBIR.gov award data files now contain the required fields to calculate award timeliness for individual awards or for an agency or branch. Additional information on calculating award timeliness is available on the Data Resource Page.

  2. Alternate Periscope Antenna Radome Development

SBC: RADANT TECHNOLOGIES, INC.            Topic: N/A

Reinforced composite materials suitable for use in submarine radomes will be investigated, which will provide improved structural characteristics compared to current NORYL radomes. RF transmission performance of these cyanate-ester based materials is anticipated to be superior to that of traditional reinforced epoxy-based materials due to lower inherent loss properties. The proposed program will i ...

  4. A Test Device for Organic Pollutants at the Low PPB Level

    SBC: Reid Laboratories            Topic: N/A

We propose to develop a test device for the measurement of trace organic materials in water. The device is specifically targeted at the anlysis of herbicides and pesticides in water. The target level of detection is the low part per billion concentration range for materials with a molecular weight of about 300. The approach is a modification of a commercially available medical diagnostic test. The ...

  5. Test Device for Measuring Cotinine in Urine

    SBC: Reid Laboratories            Topic: N/A

An immunochromatography device for measuring small amounts of analytes in liquid solution will be developed for detecting cotinine in urine. The device will be useful in measuring compliance with behavior modification programs where cessation of smoking is desired. Sensitivity levels will be in the low ppb range (ng/ml) so will be useful for detecting both passive smoking and active smoking.

  6. PROBES OF THE IMIDAZOLINE/GUANIDINIUM RECEPTOR

    SBC: Research Biochemicals,            Topic: N/A

THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROJECT IS THE SYNTHESIS AND UTILIZATION OF FUNCTIONALIZED MOLECULAR PROBES SPECIFIC FOR THE IMIDAZOLINE/GUANIDINIUM RECEPTIVE SITE (IGRS), A POTENTIAL IMPORTANT RECEPTOR INVOLVED IN METABOLIC AND CARDIOVASCULAR REGULATION. IGRS-SELECTIVE MOLECULES WILL BE CHEMICALLY MODIFIED TO GENERATE 1) A RADIOIODINATED LIGAND FOR CELL-LOCALIZATION OF IGRS AND 2) A RADIOIODINATED PHOTOAFF ...

  7. Prodrugs of 5-FU¿Antitumor Agents for Breast Cancer

    SBC: Research Biochemicals,            Topic: N/A

We will prepare novel prodrugs based upon 5F- uracil (FU) and to test their effectiveness against human breast normal mammary epithelial and tumor derived breast cells lines in culture. FU is one of the most used anticancer drugs. It has greater activity in combination with leucovorin. We will start with 5-F-orotate (FO), which is metabolically converted to FU nucleotides. Conversion of FO to thes ...

  8. Simple Generator for Radiohalogenated Spect Agents

    SBC: Research Biochemicals,            Topic: N/A

A simple generator system to facilitate the production of SPECT agents is proposed. The radioligand to be used to demonstrate feasibility of this approach is beta-CIT (2beta-Carbomethoxy-3beta¿iodophenyltropane), a compound with high affinity for dopamine reuptake sites in human brain, which is useful in diagnosing and monitoring the progression of Parkinson's disease. The generator will consis ...

  9. Thick Aberrator Compensation In Post-Detection Image Correction

SBC: Rgb Associates, Inc.            Topic: N/A

The main theme of the Phase I effort will be to attempt to answer the basic question: What is the amount of detail (or resolution) that can be recovered from the degraded signal (i.e., diffraction image) given partial knowledge of the turbulence indiced spatially random wavefront Ws? In order to answer this basic question, we propose a three-pronged attach: (1) development of methods in the contex ...

  10. Novel Ultrasonic Method for Food Dehydration

SBC: S.r. Taylor And Associates            Topic: N/A

Foods are dehydrated to make them more easily packaged and stored at room temperature. The removal of water reduces the opportunity for harmful chemical reactions. Dehydrated food powders and particles are also used in "liquid meals" for dental patients. However, dehydrated foods traditionally have been difficult to rehydrate and are of relatively poor quality. The reasons for these difficulties a ...
