The Award database is continually updated throughout the year. As a result, data for FY24 is not expected to be complete until March, 2025.

Download all SBIR.gov award data either with award abstracts (290MB) or without award abstracts (65MB). A data dictionary and additional information is located on the Data Resource Page. Files are refreshed monthly.

The SBIR.gov award data files now contain the required fields to calculate award timeliness for individual awards or for an agency or branch. Additional information on calculating award timeliness is available on the Data Resource Page.

  1. Adaptive Network Security Management

SBC: INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SERVICES, INC.            Topic: N/A

This project is dedicated to the development of an adaptive network security management tool that is analogous to implementing and incident/response paring mechanism on top of a universal remote control facility for a variety of network and security tools, network types and operating systems. Our proposed approach to accomplishing this is to integrate and agent architecture with a Case-Based Reas ...

  2. Process and Prototype Tool for Re-engineering Test Requirements from Legacy Data and Hardware

    SBC: Intermetrics, Inc.            Topic: N/A

The Government needs a process that develop Form, Fit, Function, and Interface (F3I) specifications for legacy electronics, even when no or almost no design information is present. The process must succeed even when only hardware samples and test information are available. The proposed effort will develop a process by which F3I test requirements can be successfully re-engineering from legacy dat ...

  3. The G-BAT concept: In-soil Acoustic Integrated Detection and Location of Buried Metallic and Non-metallic Targets

SBC: K2 TECHNOLOGIES, LLC            Topic: N/A

This proposal develops an experimental prototype employing beam shaped acoustic pulse in soil for the integrated detection and location of buried metallic and non-metallic targets. Detection of buried mines exploiting the electromagnetic spectrum has had limited success because of the intrinsic trade-off in system (pixel) resolution, search rate, signal and image processing, as well as lack of ro ...

  4. Cognitive and Process-based Diagnostic Tool for Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Team Training

SBC: KAPOS ASSOC., INC.            Topic: N/A

This proposal applies experience gained developing Measures of Proficiency for Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and cognitive task analysis (CTA) techniques to develop multi-media diagnostic tools for team training. Phase I will result in full cognitive and team process analyses of teams performing mission tasks in Anti-Submarine Warfare in a simulator. A key facet of these analyses will be developm ...

  5. Parallel Optical Memory Interconnects

    SBC: LSA            Topic: N/A

In this proposal, we describe a novel approach for realizing a parallel, nonmechical, read/write interconnection for angle-multiplexed three-dimensional (3-D) optical memories. Our concept represents a significant first step required toward taking this critical memory technology from the laboratory and inserting it into operational systems. The concept utilizes novel optomechanical packaging and ...

  6. Fire Detection and Warning System Technology

    SBC: LSA            Topic: N/A

There are currently no fire warning systems in use at ammunition storage areas. This is due to the lack of a detection and warning system that is capable of operation in large areas where there are multiple background sources. Early detection and suppression of fires in hazardous areas can save lives as well as millions of dollars in lost weapons and ammunition. We propose a fire-detection and ...

  7. Narrow-Bandwidth Near-Infrared Tunable Optical Filter

    SBC: LSA            Topic: N/A

We propose to design and fabricate an optical filter that can be tuned continuously from 1.5 um to 2.5 um with a linewidth less than 1 nm. Our system consists of 2 separate filters that can each be electronically tuned. One provides a large free spectral range, and the other provides a narrow linewidth.

  8. Adaptive Optics for Advanced Laser Systems

    SBC: LSA            Topic: N/A

We have designed an innovative adaptive-optics system to provide correction for laser beam distortion by large atmospheric turbulences such as in an aircraft boundary-layer. The adaptive-optics design is applicable to laser-based infrared countermeasure systems, laser rangefinders, and laser target designators. Our design is a new approach that specifically address large-scale turbulence in t ...

  9. Sensors-Adaptive Beam Expander

    SBC: LSA            Topic: N/A

We propose to design and fabricate an adaptive beam expander that can be switched between two magnifications. Specifically, the beam expander provides diffraction-limited performance for laser radar beams with diameters of 1 mm and 3 mm. The adaptive beam expander is lightweight, and it has no moving parts. Because the beam expander is an afocal system, it operates on both outgoing and incoming be ...

  10. Collaborative Systems Engineering Workbench and Network

SBC: MANAGEMENT SCIENCES INC            Topic: N/A

The Virtual Engineering firm is a reality, with a team of scientists and engineers scattered at home sites working together to solve tough engineering problems. This SBIR will perform research and development to provide collaborative system engineering tools for network engineering projects. We will explore new directions for collaborative systems engineering (SE) that enable distributed req ...
