Abstract

1A systematic means of studying the models which are currently available in the field for establishing a relationship between Digital Terrain Data accuracy and detail to the ability of a unit to perform its mission is to be determined. The approach involves an anlysis of the unit mission into the essential functions to accomplish that mission, and then proceeds to analyze the effect of the Digital Terrain Data upon the ability of the unit to perofrm each of these requisite functions. The functional capability is then combined to model the ability to perform the overall mission.
