Abstract
Autonomous Solutions proposes to increase the speed, accuracy, and overall effectiveness of currently fielded EOD robotic manipulators through 3D visualization and arm automation. ASI will integrate a 3D Flash Ladar camera onto an EOD robotic platform to enable the creation of a 3D model of the object of interest at the user interface. ASI will also implement autonomous arm control which will enable the user to specify an arm path without having to actuate individual joints. The ultimate goal is to enable point-and-click functionality for remotely picking up and handling objects using existing manipulators.
