Abstract
THIS PROPOSAL CONCERNS THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NOVEL IMMUNOASSAY SYSTEM BASED ON THE FABRICATION OF HIGHLY SELECTIVE AMPEROMETRIC SENSORS CAPABLE OF DETECTING FEMTOMOLE QUANTITIES OF MATERIAL. PHASE I OF THIS PROPOSAL WILL INVOLVE THE SYNTHESIS OF A NUMBER OF MODIFIED SURFACES FOR THE AMPEROMETRIC ELECTRODE. A PROTOTYPE SENSOR WILL BE BUILT AND TESTED FOR THE DETECTION OF NICOTINAMIDE ADENINE DINUCLEOTIDE.
