Abstract

Cyan Systems, an innovator in advanced imaging sensor technology, proposes a passive electro-optical based solution with integration and frame rate improvements to make possible capturing the dim thermal signature of high speed small-arms projectiles in the most challenging of realistic conditions. This includes gunshots up to perpendicular angles to the ballistic path against cluttered backgrounds in a variety of challenging operating environments. We have developed new capabilities to sense fast moving low observable objects at ranges greater than competing larger pixel sensors. Based on proven technology, Cyan Systems will develop a unique small pixel high resolution digital output MWIR sensor that will be hybridized to a high operating temperature (HOT) mid-wavelength infrared (MWIR) detector array using advanced small pixel interconnect technology. This will result in a high definition (HD 1080) focal plane array (FPA) with superior sensitivity.
