Abstract
Triton Systems and our partner Fatigue Technology propose to develop a room temperature installation method for metal matrix composite bearing liners.Bearing liners will be cold expanded into aluminum and magnesium housings to verify the proper interference fits are maintained at the required duty cycles.The install and uninstall procedures will be occur in housings with bore diameters ranging from less than 1 inch to 4 inches.
